PELICAN: Fisk is on at the Bedlam Theatre, during August.

  • What is your Fringe show about?

It’s about the world’s greatest tennis player avenging the mysterious death of their doubles partner. Set against the backdrop of the World Cup of Tennis, our hero, Benny Hawk, must find out who killed his partner, Bjorn Fisk, before it’s too late. But the deeper he digs, the darker it gets, and Benny soon realises that the very future of Tennis ma.

It’s a high-energy, physical and surreal romp set in the world of tennis. But it’s not really about tennis. You’ll like it even if you don’t like tennis. A madcap narrative show that gives us the opportunity to play with an audience and wear tennis costumes...

  • How many times/many years have you appeared at the Fringe?

This’ll be our second time up as a company, though Sam did do a series of very questionable Shakespeare productions aged 15 to a grand total of four people. Does that count?

  • What’s your most memorable moment from the Fringe?

We once took a punt on a late-night magic/comedy show. There were about 10 audience members in this gigantic old room, the show had no advertising and everyone in the room had been drinking heavily. It had all the hallmarks of a Fringe disaster. It turned out to be the greatest show we’ve ever seen. Ever since we’ve been trying to track the company down, but we’ve found no trace of them anywhere. We’ll be on the hunt for them again this year.

  • What’s the worst thing about the Fringe?

The flyers. The flyers. The flyers.

  • If you were not a performer what would you be doing?

Celebrating England winning in Russia.

  • How do you prepare for a performance?

We run around in a circle chanting and then stare into each other’s eyes for seven minutes.

Getting a chance to see a ridiculous amount of stuff being made by theatre makers and comedians from all over the world.

  • What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve ever done?

Guy is Scottish. So pretty much everything he does is a Scottish thing.

  • Favourite Scottish food/drink?

We rub each other down with Irn-Bru before bed each night

  • Sum up your show in three words

Surreal. Playful. Physical.
