Tell us about your Fringe show

Dickens Abridged is a fast paced, musical comedy celebrating the life and works of the greatest writer ever in the history of writers – performed by four multi-talented Californian iconoclasts who have a thing for all things Dickensian.

Best thing about the Fringe?

The city of Edinburgh is awesome. The eclectic acts from all over the world are awesome. The vibe is awesome. Everything is awesome.

Worst thing about the Fringe?

There is no ‘worst thing’…it’s all awesome!

How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?

Since the time of the Pharoahs.

Favourite Fringe venue?

The Pleasance, of course. It’s got a lovely energy and amazing acts.

Best Fringe memory?

Watching the sun set from Arthur’s seat.

Best heckle?

Yew are a Fiking dreek thrummle walpert currymudgeon! (hollered by a drunk fiddler from Dundee)

Craziest on stage experience?

EVERY stage experience is crazy.

What’s on your rider?

Only green M&Ms allowed in the dressing room.

How do you wind down after a show?

Meditation and herbal tea.

What do you love about Scotland?

It’s the music, and the people, and the lochs, and…did I mention that everything is awesome?

What do you like about Edinburgh?

The awesomeness.

What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve done?

Joined in on guitar in a session in a pub.

What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?

Anything that makes fun of the English.

Favourite joke?

Q: What do John the Baptist and Winnie the Pooh have in common? A: The same middle name.
