Aberdeen-based crane engineering group Sparrows has signed a co-operation agreement with a Trinidad based engineering firm, in a move that Sparrows says will grow its footprint in the Americas where it already has a presence in the US and Brazil.

Under the deal, Miguel Mechanical Services will supply local expertise, labour, procurement and facilities while Sparrows will deliver engineering and technical support as well as training and competency assessment.

Sparrows says the deal will allow local knowledge and expertise to be combined with global engineering capability and experience to deliver crane assurance and lifting integrity to the energy industry in Trinidad & Tobago.
