The Veitchi Group, one of Scotland’s largest construction industry sub-contractors, is relocating its headquarters this weekend after 50 years in Rutherglen. The firm which employs 320 is moving to Clydeside where it incorporated in 1917. It has acquired a 20,000 sq ft building at the Gateway Glasgow development in Cambuslang. Jim Preston, managing director, said: “We’re pleased to bring positive news to the area at a time when there is further uncertainty of jobs on the Clydeside.” He added: “Our new headquarters are a prudent acquisition allowing us to consolidate the head office and four divisions, whilst also giving us room for future expansion.”
