N-Sea takes a gamble on Dubai office
AS PART of its continuing global growth strategy, subsea IMR provider N-Sea has announced the opening of a new office in Dubai.
Running this new office will be Asa Gamble, who has been appointed as managing director for the Middle East region, who will be responsible for the establishment and growth of all N-Sea services and products in the region.
Operations due to commence as early as August and the new base will support N-Sea’s increased presence in the region, allowing the company to conduct diving, ROV (remotely operated vehicles) and survey projects in the civil engineering and offshore markets throughout the UAE.
N-Sea chief operating officer, Roddy James said: “In order to meet the growing needs of our subsea clients, it was essential to open a base in the Middle East. The area is a key focus for us and we are delighted to be expanding our survey and IMR operations whilst growing our presence in a new market.
Tayburn names new chairman
DIGITAL agency Tayburn has appointed Mike Reid as chairman.
Mr Reid, former managing director of SapientNitro, joins the business next month. In his 17 years at SapientNitro, he was a part of the global leadership team and led the development of the firm’s growth in Europe.
Tayburn works with a number of major companies, including Heineken, Toshiba and The Weir Group.

Brodies builds bigger construction team
BRODIES has expanded its construction team with the appointment of partner David Arnott, a construction disputes specialist, consultant Jane McMonagle, a contracts specialist, and associate Chris Duff, also a construction disputes resolution lawyer.
The law firm said that as one of the country’s most respected contentious construction specialists, Mr Arnott brought 25 years of specialist expertise in resolving construction, engineering and PPP/PFI disputes.
Mr Arnott is ranked ‘Band 1’ in the current edition of the independent legal directory Chambers and Partners, having received “acclaim from peers and clients for the calibre of his disputes work”. The directory commends him as “very level-headed”, “practical” and for understanding his clients. He joins from MacRoberts, where he was head of the firm’s Construction and Projects Group.
Chris Duff, who has six years’ specialist expertise in construction dispute resolution, also joins from MacRoberts.
Jane McMonagle, meanwhile, joins from Harper Macleod, bringing more than 12 years’ experience to Brodies’ non-contentious construction team.
