TECHNOLOGY company Converged Communication Solutions has acquired fellow Aberdeen-based information technology (IT) provider Century Business Systems (CBS).
The deal for about £500,000 is Converged’s first acquisition since its 2005 foundation and the company said it would allow it to strengthen its in-house service offering to clients.
CBS’ entire team will transfer to Converged and relocate to its premises on Mugiemoss Road, increasing the workforce at Converged to more than 25.
Neil Christie, managing director at Converged, said: “To date, we have grown and expanded naturally, so our first acquisition is a major step.
He was also quick to praise CBS founders Brian Watt and Kevin Sinclair.
“Brian and Kevin, supported by a talented team, have built a very strong business in Century Business Systems; its integration into Converged will enrich the service that we offer to clients,” he said.
