ACCOUNTANCY firm Campbell Dallas has unveiled what it describes as a “strategic” acquisition aimed at expanding its business in Ayrshire and the south of Scotland, writes Ian McConnell.

The Scottish accountancy firm has acquired Kilmarnock firm W White & Co, which was founded in 1981.

Campbell Dallas said the deal would see 14 staff transfer with immediate effect, including the Kilmarnock firm’s founder, Bill White. Mr White is becoming a consultant. It added that it would, through the acquisition, gain around £1 million of additional turnover, with the new office providing a base “from which to develop the exciting Ayrshire market”.

Chris Horne, managing partner of Campbell Dallas, said: “Ayrshire is an area the firm is keen to develop further and my fellow partner Donald Boyd has advised a good number of clients within the area for many years.”
