BOWLEVEN has said Barclays Capital has resigned as a joint broker of the oil and gas company with immediate effect. Edinburgh-based Bowleven said Cenkos Securities will continue to act as its nominated adviser and broker. Aim-listed Bowleven underwent a boardroom shakeup in March when chief executive Kevin Hart and all bar one of the other directors of the firm left after a campaign for change led by the Monaco-based Crown Ocean Capital investment business. Two new directors were voted on to the board to run Bowleven with the company’s chief operating officer David Clarkson. Bowleven did not give any information yesterday about recent progress at the company. Crown Ocean Capital has a 25.01 per cent stake in Bowleven. Shares in Bowleven closed up 1p at 32p.
