Barrhead Travel eyes Australian venture

Mr Munro has ruled out a greenfield opening in Australia and favours the acquisition of a small business that Barrhead could look to build up.

He said: "We would want to buy an existing business, find out more about it and expand it from there.

"That would allow us to get more familiar with the market and the regulations.

"We have got a few former staff who now live in Australia who have said they will come and work for us if we open up."
