BREWDOG has unveiled the locations for its next phase of bars and high street off licences with a number of sites in Scotland forming part of the expansion.

Included within the roll-out is an artisan coffee house in Edinburgh, named the Newington Fix and located on South Clerk Street, which will also sell beer.

The company hopes The Fix concept can be expanded more widely.

The brewer has also signed a deal for a second, and much larger, bar on Union Street in Aberdeen while its Glasgow bar in the Merchant City is to have a restaurant and one of its Bottle Dog off licences under one roof.

A Bottle Dog site in Edinburgh, on Dundas Street, is also said to be moving closer to opening.

In Leeds it is also trialling a different bar format, named ShuffleDog, which will have shuffleboard tables and vintage arcade games and pinball machines.

As well as that another concept, called Dog Eat Dog, is being launched in Islington, London, with a focus on providing a wide range of hotdogs alongside the company's beers.

Founders James Watt and Martin Dickie also told investors at BrewDog's recent annual general meeting that it is planning to launch a smaller bar idea, titled DogTap, selling only BrewDog beers and suitable for smaller towns and cities.

Internationally the company said its Oslo bar will open next week while it has secured a second site in Stockholm.

The Rome bar is likely to open this summer while conversion work on its premises in Brussels has also started.
