ACCOMMODATION and events booking company ExecSpace has opened a new office in Aberdeen.

The business, founded in 2008, with headquarters in Edinburgh, has been operating in north east Scotland for less than a year but has seen such high demand it made the decision to invest in a permanent base.

Founder Emma Little said: "It's important that if, we are fortunate enough to be doing business in a city we should commit fully by investing in an office and recruiting locally."

Last year ExecSpace, which books venues for anything from small management meetings to gala dinners with hundreds of guests, received a six-figure investment from venture capital firm Bradenham Partners. The firm has hired a dedicated account manager for Glasgow.

Staff has grown from seven to 18 in the past 12 months. Turnover is now in excess of £5 million.
