ONE in seven UK firms have said they are "quite likely" or "very likely" to switch to a different business current account in the next six months.

But the vast majority (85 per cent) of businesses said they are unlikely to change provider in that period.

A survey on banking satisfaction, commissioned by the British Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses, also found that firms with more than 49 employees were less likely to change their account.

The Business Banking Insight survey canvassed the views of some 15,000 businesses.
