John Menzies profit falls

John Menzies posted a 3% fall in underlying profits to £53.1 million last year after a further drop in demand for newspapers and magazines continued to hit its distribution business.

The Edinburgh-based business saw a 12% drop in earnings at its larger distribution arm offset a robust performance in aviation services, where earnings rose 11% on a constant currency basis to £38.5 million.
