MCINTOSH of Strathmore has sealed an £800,000 deal with Asda to stock a new range of macaroni cheese pots in stores.

The products, featuring three new flavours, will be stocked in all 62 Scottish shops along with some in England and Wales.

McIntosh, part of the Forfar based Strathmore Foods, sells more than 3.6 million macaroni meals annually and believes the additional range will result in it producing 4.4 million each year.

Neil Macrae, sales manager, said: "This is a very exciting opportunity which will bring our products to a much wider audience, enabling more people to enjoy a taste of Scotland."
