London-based public relations and web marketing agency Beattie Communications is adding four new web marketing consultants to its offices in Glasgow and Falkirk as a result of growing demand for digital communications.

The new hires bring the workforce of the company's dedicated digital arm Only W3B to 30. Only W3B was founded in 2010 and has grown steadily since then because of rising demand in the digital marketing sector.

The new recruits will help the Only W3B to provide the full range of digital and web marketing services, including digital strategy development and detailed insights into Google penalties which can negatively impact a website's search rankings because of updates to Google's search algorithms or other factors.

Digital marketing manager Callum Donaldson joins from Made By Crunch and ex-Alien Nation client relations manager Dav McKenzie has come on board, joined by content marketer Chris Tapley, formerly of 1st Formations, and former Equator developer Iain Maitland.

The new hires follow the recent appointment of Vivienne Maclaren from Alien Nation as digital strategy director.

Only W3B director David Reid said: "The team we have in place now is arguably the strongest since Only W3B was set up and the recent appointments give us greater depth, experience and capability, particularly strengthening our ability to offer clear strategic insights and deliver for overseas clients in the USA and Far East.

"In recent years we have expanded our digital and web marketing division, alongside our traditional PR and communications offering, meaning we are able to offer genuinely integrated communications programmes.

"Only W3B has been hugely successful in broadening our range of services, bringing on board a whole host of new clients and our latest recruits will further strengthen our team and client services."

Founded in 1986 by former journalist Gordon Beattie, the Beattie Communications Group now employs 100 staff at eight offices across the UK, including its London headquarters, Glasgow, Falkirk, Manchester, Leeds and a dedicated educational marketing office in Essex.
