Luxury kitchen and furniture retailer John Lewis of Hungerford said its full-year pre-tax profits fell 64% to £59,740 as it invested in its operations as part of a three-year plan to boost sales to £10 million by the end of 2016.

The Oxfordshire-based firm said revenues lifted 12% to £7.4 million, the second year in a row they had grown by double digits, aided by opening a new store in Chiswick and launching a new bathroom range.
