Property agent brings in veteran
PROPERTY agent Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its Scottish team by hiring heavyweight Bill Colville as head of office development.
Mr Colville, who joins with more than 30 years' experience of major development and leasing projects, was previously chairman of DTZ in Scotland and most recently a consultant at CBRE.
He will join as a salaried partner working alongside partners Andy Cunningham in Glasgow and Angela Lowe in Edinburgh on both existing mandates and on identifying new opportunities.
Mr Colville said: "We are entering another really exciting phase of the development cycle in Scotland with forecast demand positive across a number of sectors.
"I am very much looking forward to working with the team to help the firm's development, investor and occupier clients take advantage of the opportunities we foresee."
Cushman & Wakefield managing director David Davidson said: "We are delighted that Bill is joining C&W in Scotland. His undoubted pedigree in office development will be an excellent boost to our existing business space teams led by Andy and Angela."
Buccleuch boosts rural team
BUCCLEUCH has boosted its rural focus with three new key appointments.
Duncan Mackison will become chief operations officer for the rural operation, which includes business activities on its Scottish estates - Bowhill, Drumlanrig, Eskdale and Liddesdale, Dalkeith - and Boughton in Northamptonshire.
Mr Mackison spent several years as a member of the senior management team at the Serco Group, including a spell as managing director of the group's defence business.
Adrian Dolby becomes head of agriculture and will take responsibility for agricultural strategy at the company, both in-hand and tenanted.
He previously worked for Velcourt, Andersons and formerly as farm manager at the Barrington Park Estate situated in the Cotswolds.
Trevor Warne has been appointed asset manager for the rural division, and will be responsible for the planning, surveying and building of all rural and agricultural property.
Two new partners at MacRoberts
SCOTTISH law firm MacRoberts has recruited two new partners to enhance its projects and construction teams.
Rod Munro specialises in project finance, working with leading developers and public and private-sector investors on major infrastructure contracts. Craig Bradshaw is focused on non-contentious construction work across a wide range of sectors in the UK.
Both have joined from Maclay Murray and Spens (MMS).
Mr Munro, who qualified in 1997, started his career in Edinburgh with MMS. He later worked with Norton Rose and Burness, before moving back to MMS in 2001.
Mr Bradshaw spent nearly nine years of his early career with MacRoberts before moving to MMS, where he worked for almost seven years.
