C&D Auction Marts Ltd sold five prime heifers in Dumfries on Monday evening to a top of 222.5 pence per kilogramme and an average of 204.5p.
There were also 486 prime lambs that sold to £82.50 per head and 184p per kg to average 161p (+1.6p on the week).
The 538 cast sheep forward saw heavy ewes sell to £91.50 for Texels and average £62.34 (-£7.63), while light ewes peaked at £54 for Blackfaces and levelled at £46.28 (-£10.97).
Wallets Marts sold 1007 prime lambs in Castle Douglas yesterday to a top of £80.50 and 195.1p to average £66.47 and 160.4p (-3.1p).
The firm also had 173 cast sheep forward when ewes sold to £78 for Charollais and £53.50 for Blackfaces.
