C&D Auction Marts Ltd sold 2817 prime lambs in Longtown on Thursday to a top of £124 per head and 233p per kg to average 197p (+12p on the week).
The largest show for some time of 6209 cast sheep saw heavy ewes sell to £155 for Texels and average £78.58 (+£3.12), while light ewes peaked at £77 for Cheviots and levelled at £44.88 (-19p). Rams sold to £156 for a Texel and averaged £79.49.
