OFFICE space take up in Glasgow has risen in the second quarter of the year, according to Jones Lang LaSalle.

The company said was 97,140 square feet was let in the centre of the city, up around 45 per cent on the same period last year.

The largest city centre deal in the three months to the end of June was for call centre firm Teleperformance which took 27,522 square feet at the Cuprum building in Cadogan Square.

JLL said the headline rent in the period was £29.50 per square foot and that is expected to rise in the second half of the year.
