THE Scottish Newspaper Society will hold its first weekly publishers' conference in Glasgow today.
Around 30 representatives of titles including The Orcadian and the Annandale Observer are expected to attend. Delegates will consider topics such as digital publishing trends, logistics and measuring advertising effectiveness. The society's director, John McLellan, said the future well-being of Scottish weekly publishers is crucial for the news business as a whole and the fabric of communities.
