New Glasgow director for Bilfinger

Commercial property adviser Bilfinger GVA has appointed Paul Broad as director in its Glasgow office.

Mr Broad joins the organisation’s business space team having previously worked at DTZ Cushman & Wakefield for 14 years.

As a prominent agent in the Glasgow’s property market, Mr Broad has advised on premier Grade A office development projects and secured some of the highest profile lettings.

Most recently he has provided a leading role in advising public and private sector occupiers on portfolio strategy and acquisition projects.

Anderson Strathern boosts family law team

Law firm Anderson Strathern has appointed Janice Jones as partner in its dispute resolution department where she will join a team of specialist practitioners spread across the firm’s Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.

Ms Jones joins Anderson Strathern from law firm Harper Macleod and has over 20 years of experience in family law, including divorce, cases involving children and also cohabitants’ claims. She has also developed a practice in pre and post nuptial agreements and living-together agreements for unmarried couples.

She said: “Family law increasingly interacts with all other areas of the law, both commercial and personal, and the joined-up approach of Anderson Strathern means that I, and my colleagues in the team, will be able to assist on a firm-wide basis in delivering solutions to clients.”
