AN Edinburgh-based South Asian food entrepreneur has won a contract valued at £150,000 to supply flavoured naan breads to Asda. The Mrs Unis Spicy Foods business run by Shaheen Unis will supply the supermarket chain with Naans in Keema, Cheese and Coriander, Meetha and Chicken Tikka and Coriander flavours. The company sells its range of handmade pakora in Asda’s 61 Scottish stores, ranging from the Highlands to the Borders. Mrs Unis moved into the retail trade in the 1980s after running a restaurant and is renowned for her community outreach work. She said the firm was looking at some exciting expansion plans with Asda's help.
