FORMER Black & Lizars managing director Mark Ross is to take up a similar role at emergency pet care company Vets Now.

Mr Ross has been named joint managing director and will be sharing duties with Fiona Dewar, who has been promoted from her role as client and people director at Vets Now.

Richard Dixon, who founded the company in 2001, said: "This model of running with joint Managing Directors is an exciting approach to take. Mark and Fiona as joint [managing directors] will be accountable for the organisation as a whole.

"However, each will have their own clear areas of day to day primary responsibility and distinct line management reports so that there is no ambiguity."

Dunfermline based Vets Now treats around 100,000 animals each year and has more than 50 clinics around the UK.
