ODEON & UCI Cinemas chief executive Rupert Gavin is stepping down next month after eight years in the post.
Paul Donovan, former boss of Irish telecoms operator Eircom, will take over at the cinema chain.
Mr Gavin will continue as an adviser to Guy Hands's Terra Firma, Odeon's ultimate shareholder.
