BACK in 2009, Scotland's accountancy institute ICAS responded to the financial crisis by producing a new manual on professional behaviour, designed to guide its members through the many types of ethical dilemma confronting accountants at a time of stress.

Chief executive Anton Colella says the collection of ethical scenarios has stood the test of time over the past five years, even if the title of the work - '30 Shades of Grey' - now seems a shade unfortunate.
