Two of Scotland's leading business angels have created a new investment network aimed at enabling existing Scottish companies to move to a higher level.

London and Scottish Investment Partners, headed by Scott Carnegie, of Discovery Investment Fund, and Nelson Gray has attracted 20 experienced investors to back established firms in technology, life sciences, food and drink, and manufacturing, including those looking for a succession or sale. It aims to make four to six investments a year, with an annual fund of up to £3 million.

Mr Carnegie said: "Across Scotland there are numerous family-run and owner-operated SMEs with great growth prospects and significant IP value which, for a number of reasons, are not performing to their full potential."
