Family owned pizza maker Cosmo’s has reported a retained profit of almost £53,000, according to its most recent annual accounts.

In the filing at Companies House for Midlothian based Cosmo Products the abbreviated accounts show the business also increased the value of its net assets from £623, 502 to £676,004 in the 12 months to September 2014.

The business grew from the Cosmo Ristorante site in Edinburgh started in 1965 by Cosmo Tamburro senior. He had arrived in Scotland in 1958.

It now has its headquarters in Bonnyrigg and makes fresh and frozen pizza for a range of retail and wholesale customers.

Cosmo junior is a director of the company.
