JOHN Menzies has hired former DHL and Deutsche Post executive Greg Michael to lead its distribution business.
The Edinburgh-based company said the appointment of Mr Michael completes the reshaping of its senior leadership team. It comes two weeks after Menzies promoted John Geddes to the board as corporate affairs director. Mr Geddes said on his appointment that the case for keeping the company’s aviation and distribution operations together has weakened in recent years, amid pressure from some shareholders for change. The executive leadership at Menzies also includes chief financial officer Giles Wilson and head of aviation Forsyth Black.
