EDINBURGH supermodel Eunice Olumide is backing a return-to-work campaign for ethnic minority women in Scotland.

Ms Olumide will give the keynote speech at the launch of the Scottish Government-supported initiative, being facilitated by Adopt an Intern (AAI), with community interest company Radiant and Brighter.

AAI has facilitated 1,400 paid internships, including “returnships”, since founding in 2009, with 13.5 per cent of all applicants classing themselves as coming from a black or minority ethnic (BME) background.

The launch event, in Glasgow on Friday October 27, will also hear from employability minister Jamie Hepburn.

Events will also be held in Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
