Collagen Solutions finds finance chief
COLLAGEN Solutions, which makes medical grade components for use in regenerative applications, has appointed Hilary Spence as chief financial officer.
Based at the group’s Glasgow office, Ms Spence takes over from Gill Black who has decided to step down as CFO for family reasons. Ms Black will remain with the company, maintaining her role as company secretary and will assist Hilary in the transition of roles.
A chartered accountant. Ms Spence has more than 30 years’ commercial experience in finance across a number of multi-sector businesses. Most recently she was interim CFO at the private equity funded Powerleague.
Jamal Rushdy, chief executive, said: “Hilary has a wealth of experience both commercially and financially, working with businesses that mirror Collagen Solutions growth model and we believe she will be an important asset to the business in this exciting period of transitional growth.”
Savills moves in Edinburgh boss
INTERNATIONAL estate agent Savills has appointed Stuart Moncur as head of regional retail at Savills, based in the firm’s Edinburgh office.
Previously at Cushman & Wakefield in Edinburgh, where he was head of national retail and occupier services, Mr Moncur has amassed 18 years of experience in the property industry.
At Savills Mr Moncur will focus on prime high street, shopping centre and retail park leasing and asset management, occupier advisory and development in UK regional markets.
Sean Gillies, head of UK retail at Savills, comments: “This is a strategic appointment which bolsters our already established retail offer across the UK.”
Mr Moncur added that he hoped to continue to build on Savills regional retail strengths “with a team well placed to provide clients with insightful and best in class advice in a rapidly changing retail landscape”.
Board appointments at green agency
Zero Waste Scotland has announced a number of new appointments and reappointments to its board.
Vic Emery has been reappointed as chair of the board and John Watt reappointed as a non-executive director.
In addition, Morag MacDonald, Gerard O’Sullivan, Janet Swadling, and Helen Wollaston are appointed as new non-executive directors.
Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Roseanna Cunningham, welcomed the appointments, saying: “In also announcing four new appointments, I am confident that Zero Waste Scotland has the breadth of skills and experience to deliver on our ambitions for a circular economy.”
