Well-Safe appoints two directors
Well-Safe Solutions, the north-east business set up by Alasdair Locke to take advantage of the growing decommissioning sector, has appointed two further directors.
Following the recent announcement of the specialist well abandonment company’s first acquisition and appointment of chief executive officer, Phil Milton, Well-Safe has bolstered its team with the appointments of Graeme Murray as legal and commercial director and Glenn Wilson as chief technical officer.
Joining Well-Safe from Dolphin Drilling, where he was managing director, Mr Murray has more 27 years’ legal and commercial experience in oil and gas. He was previously general counsel, company secretary and vice-president for commercial and procurement with Subsea 7.
Mr Wilson joins Well-Safe from Repsol Sinopec, where he was decommissioning programme manager.
The company is aiming to create 400 jobs.
Indeglass in double promotion
Indeglas, the recently-rebranded supplier of interior glass, has promoted two senior managers to director level.
The Cumbernauld business, formerly known as Deko Scotland, has named Derek Johnston operations director and Iain McAlpine has been made commercial director.
Mr Johnstone is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde in chemical engineering and has 25 years’ experience in contracts management. He holds a range of health and safety qualifications related to the internal glass and glazing systems sector.
Mr McAlpine, a quantity surveyor by profession, also has 25 years of business experience.
Indeglas managing director, Jeanette MacIntyre, said: “Iain and Derek will play a pivotal role and I am delighted to welcome them to our board.”
Staff boost for five-star resort
Cameron House, the five-star resort on the bank of Loch Lomond, has bolstered its operations team with the recruitment of a guest relations manager, two wedding and special events planners, and a resort activities manager.
Louise Brodie fills the role of guest relations manager, arriving from the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.
Zoe Jordan and Hazel Stewart make up the new planning team for weddings and special events. Ms Jordan was previously the events and PR manager for Buzzworks Holdings. Ms Stewart joins from Queen Mary II Ocean Liner, where she was events manager.
The fourth appointment is new activities manager, Calum Steel.
