I WAS moved by Lorna Hood's account of her visit to Srebrenica ("Srebrenica visit will haunt me but steel my resolve to confront hatred", Herald Agenda, February 15)

My abiding memory of the simple and dignified Potocari cemetery where the Srebrenica victims are buried is the Imam's prayer displayed on a large board:

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Almighty

We pray to you, Great God,

That Grief may be turned to Hope

That Vengeance may be turned to Justice,

That the tears of the mothers may become prayers

And that there will never, ever, be another Srebrenica.

That seems to say it all.
