Lindsay Forster is right in her opinions regarding the Queen (Letters, June 4).

I, for one, would have a great deal more respect for the Queen if she had adopted the correct title at her coronation.

Had she taken the title as Queen of the United Kingdom as Elizabeth I and not Elizabeth II (the English succession), as the establishment insisted, I am sure that many more Scots would have joined in marking the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
