THE discussion on same-sex marriage seems to go round in circles ("Scotland to allow gay marriage", The Herald, July 25 & Letters, July 23).

If the religious faith you subscribe to forbids same-sex marriage then surely, as a member of that religion, you would not be contemplating it anyway.

For those whose beliefs do not forbid it, it is not a problem and they should be allowed to marry; it is not the concern of anyone else.

If it conflicts with your faith, then you should possibly embrace another.

Basically, if you don't like the club rules then join another club.
