PRESTWICK Airport's slump to its lowest level of passenger numbers is quite difficult to understand ("Problems at Prestwick as passengers shun airport", The Herald, May 5).

Glasgow is still arguing for a rail link to its airport and Edinburgh Airport struggling to build a tram link, whilst Prestwick Airport is sitting with all the transport attributes in place.

Also with low passenger numbers, the immigration control problems at the Heathrow and Stansted could be easily solved as well.

Pure dead brilliant?
