WHERE are the Jenny Geddeses of this generation, ready to throw a church stool at the hypocrisy and hokum surrounding the re-interment of a box of old bones now labelled Richard III ("Thousands flock to see king's final journey", The Herald, March 23)?

And, for crying out loud, being asked to listen to solemnly intoned prayers for the soul of said Richard ?

Are we to be thus diverted from thinking about the £2.5 million spent on this masquerade while daily more than eight million under-fives die of malnutrition?

It is enough to make Jesus not only weep but rage, but unless I missed it there has been no protest from His churches in this or any other country.
