Being stuck inside an office all day can leave you feeling dehydrated and looking dull.

How many times have you gone to work in the morning looking fabulous and come lunch time you’re feeling a little worse for wear?

Truth is, the majority of us need a little pick me up throughout the day to keep us looking presentable and groomed. A small bundle of beauty products can come in handy while at work and won’t have you leaving your desk for an emergency make over.

Follow these few simple steps and tips to ensure you look fresh and work ready throughout the day! Hydration is essential while at work, whether that is in the form of drinking water or skincare products. By ensuring you keep up with your daily intake of water your skin will feel plump and your mind will be alert and active. To help you on your way to hydrated skin I recommend using a nourishing and moisturising spray mist on your face. Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir (£11.50) is a refreshing facial mist that contains orange blossom, rose and mint which leaves your complexion looking radiant. Facial mists are great to have at the office as you can apply a light spritz while sitting at your desk! During a long day at work your t-zone tends to get shiny and your make-up may begin to slip. Even if you have prepped and primed your skin before applying your make-up, the air conditioning and busy office errands can leave you looking a little shiny. Blotting papers are a great must have product to keep in your drawer at work. Bobbi Brown’s Blotting papers (£17.00) are small and discreet and will be a life saver for your oilier days. Gently pat over your t-zone and other shiny areas for oil-slick free skin. Keeping your lips moisturised 9-5 is a must - nobody wants to be seen in a meeting with flaky, dry lips. Instead of wearing lip glosses that can be drying on your lips, try changing it for a moisturising lip balm. Moisturising lip balms don’t have to be bland and boring - there are plenty on the market that are tinted which leave you with a pop of colour on your lips. By Terry’s Baume De Rose (£35.00) is a rich and luxurious balm that contains a subtle hint of pink and also contains SPF 15. Pop it in your handbag for a failsafe lip product to use during the day. Our hands go through a lot of hard work and strain during working hours. From keyboards to counters our hands can end up dry, sore and tired from a long day’s work. Keeping a hand cream on you is important while at work to ensure you don’t end up with cracked and painful hands. Soap & Glory’s Hand Food (£5.00) is a great hand cream for everyday use which contains nourishing properties. I recommend applying hand cream every time after you have washed your hands and during the day to keep them hydrated and moisturised.
