His label The Rodnik Band is a unique concept amalgamating fashion, art and music. Presented as an ironic pop band the collection walks a satirical line with Philip fronting a group of models wearing the collection as members of the band. Colbert writes and performs songs based on each collection reinventing the way in which people look at fashion and clothes.

First inspired by the Pop Art movement and the work of artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Piet Mondrian, Colbert wanted to express a style that captured the fun and irreverent spirit that he believed Rodnik should be. He created The Rodnik Band as a pop art clothing line where the creations were bold, playful and humorous. His designs communicate a direct reference to the artist's iconic imagery. In creating the conceptual object dress such as the Campbell's Soup dress he has taken art off the wall and transferred it into wearable art.
The Rodnik Band creates a very modern fashion concept often referred to as the fashion version of the Velvet Underground and Vogue's Andre Leon Talley has already described Colbert as "the Godson of Andy Warhol".
Colbert has teamed up with famed comic strip Peanuts for The Rodnik Band's latest fashion project. Delving deep into the artwork archives of Charles M. Schultz, The Rodnik Band have produced a capsule collection featuring Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Woodstock, Lucy van Pelt & Co. These legendary characters have been brought back to life on a selection of graphic tees, dresses, skirts, bomber jackets & accessories. Philip likes to use tasteful, classic, chic templates of garment shape and fit. These are the perfect canvas for his hand made prints. The collection has a strong sense of fun from the surreal handbags to the bold and witty ready to wear styles.
Colbert feels that fashion's greatest value is in fantasy and escapism and the collection certainly reflects this. The Peanuts comic strip evokes childhood nostalgia in most of us whilst expressing an artistic idea that is accessible to the new youth generation. Fans already include Cara Delevingne, Georgia May Jagger & Rita Ora.
Charlie Brown may not have been able to fly a kite but Philip Colbert and The Rodnik Band are flying high and fast becoming a global super brand.
