Meet Jessica Kane, 18, one of the 15 finalists chosen by our judges to fight for the Fashion Faces of the Future title in the Sunday Herald’s competition.

Biography:

I am currently in my first year at Glasgow University, studying History of Art, Film and Media and Theatre studies.
I attended Lenzie Academy where I achieved good grades and was awarded the art prize in both 5th and 6th year. I was vice captain, prefect and a mentor at school. After school hours I attended Glasgow Academy of Musical Theatre Arts (GAMTA) and completed the highest part-time course, training in dancing, acting and singing.

I have performed in many pantomimes and shows over the years from ensemble to lead. It was the principal of GAMTA who suggested that I try modelling which encouraged me to enter this competition.
Modelling is something that I've always found interesting and I am excited by this opportunity to learn about modelling and eager to gain experience as I believe it is something that I could be good at.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, painting, seeing friends and, of course, shopping!

The finalists will take part in a Jigsaw fashion show on November 18 at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. The show is in aid of charity Debra, which works with people with the skin-blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

Two winners will be chosen on the night - one male and one female - and the prize for each includes a one-year contract with The Model Team as well as £500 to spend in Jigsaw and a selection of images taken by Herald & Times Group Photographers.

Tickets for the final fashion show event cost £30 each, and include a drinks and canape reception on arrival plus a fashion show featuring the finalists and Jigsaw clothing. To book tickets to attend, please contact Lyndsay Wilson on 0141 302 7407 or email Lyndsay.wilson@heraldandtimes.co.uk
