Meet Roisin Haldane, 16, one of the 15 finalists chosen by our judges to fight for the Fashion Faces of the Future title in the Sunday Herald’s competition.

Biography:

I am currently in 6th year at Clydeview Academy, Gourock. I have achieved five highers and am currently studying for three advanced higher. I am also in the process of applying to study pharmacy and biomedical science at university next year.

At school I am a prefect and a befriender as well as a member of the Pupil Council and the Fair Trade committee.

Outwith school I have completed my bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards and am currently working towards my gold. I have been a member of the Inverclyde Choir for seven years and have been entering Scottish Country Dancing competition for nine years. I  have also completed my grade four piano exam and competed in the World Choir Games.

I am currently working as a pharmacy assistant on Saturday mornings and have previously worked as a waitress at Greenock Wanderers Rugby Club.

The finalists will take part in a Jigsaw fashion show on November 18 at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. The show is in aid of charity Debra, which works with people with the skin-blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

Two winners will be chosen on the night - one male and one female - and the prize for each includes a one-year contract with The Model Team as well as £500 to spend in Jigsaw and a selection of images taken by Herald & Times Group Photographers.
