The inaugural Herald Fashion Awards are looming with less than a week to go until the glitzy ceremony.

Interest in Scotland's newest online fashion event has been growing steadily, and a new sponsor has been announced in the form of Love Your Clothes - a new campaign from Zero Waste Scotland.

On the night, Lynn Wilson, Key Accounts Manager for Textiles at Zero Waste Scotland will offer a presentation to talk about the campaign and educate guests, with key tips on how to "love" your clothes.

Of sponsoring the event, Lynn said: "We're delighted to support Heraldfashion.co.uk Awards, and to have this opportunity to highlight the importance of loving what's in our wardrobes.

"A staggering volume of textiles end up in the bin every year, much of it needlessly.  Love Your Clothes has something for everyone - from the needle novice to the accomplished sewer, providing practical hints and tips to help your clothes last longer, including buying pre-owned items or repairing or altering our clothes."

Love Your Clothes will also be sending the lucky winner of the Best Fashion Twitterati category on a trip to London later this month for an upcycling evening for London Fashion Bloggers, with the idea that the winner will return to Scotland and share the stories from their trip.

A surprise on the night will be the winner of The People's Choice Award, the only category voted for by the public, which received over 180 votes in 48 hours.  The winner will be announced on the night and finalists include DIY Nails, Bonnie Bling, Abandon Ship Apparel and Common People Clothing.

The full list of finalists is displayed below, with the winners of each category announced over the course of the night. Information on attending the event can be found by visiting www.heraldfashion.co.uk. Tickets are priced at £35 and include a champagne drinks reception, goody bag, fashionable platter of delicacies, fashion showcase and of course - the highly anticipated awards ceremony.

Hosted by Scottish supermodel Eunice Olumide, the event will take place on Sunday, November 16, at Arta, Glasgow, and promises to be as stylish as the guests attending.
