Crash! That's the sound of a hip band of makers descending on Princes Square this month as the mall prepares to host a pop-up event designed to champion independent Scottish creative talent.

Young designers these days - they're not just content with outputting covetable pieces for the masses to swoon over, oh no. For nine of Scotland's best names have gone a step further and collaborated to put on a temporary store in Princes Square this month - with the added bonus of being right in time for payday.

Held over Thursday October 30 - Saturday November 1, shoppers will be treated to a whole host of wares including soft furnishings, beauty bits and garments, while one-off samples, seasonal discounts and special prices will also be on offer.

Names involved include interiors aficionado Bluebellgray,  queen of the bodyform dress Rebecca Torres, Made from Scotland design competition winner Naromode, hosiery hero Bebaroque, and the lovely We Are Faux lashes.

Other talented makers include Laura Spring, whose pencil cases and textiles have received widespread acclaim, bridal headwear extraordinaire Rene Walrus, and Prints of Paradise, masters of the tropical t-shirt.

Georgia Wiseman, award-winning jewellery designer, will also be in residence at the guerrilla event.

The Scottish indie maker pop-up will appear on the lower ground floor of Princes Square, Buchanan Street, Glasgow.
