British fashion was one of the core themes of the London 2012 closing ceremony, and Scottish model Stella Tennant played a key role as the Olympic stadium was transformed into a giant Union Jack catwalk.

Stella appeared in a glittering suit designed by Scot Christopher Kane, alongside supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, who both wore Alexander McQueen dresses, and the famous fashion faces of Lily Cole, Karen Elson, Jourdon Dunn and David Gandy.

The outfits, inspired by Olympic medals, had been created for the event by British designers.
