With Glasgow's Christmas light switch on signalling the start of the festive season, we can't resist the introduction of festive tipples.

When you're not frequenting the stalls of the winter market (and sampling its delicious mulled wine offerings), get into the swing of things at home with some Gingerbread punch.

A hearty drink and a sprinkling of cinnamon will warm things up nicely - with vanilla and Kahlua keeping things sweet while the cream makes for a filling winter offering. A perfect way to warm a chilly evening…

Ingredients

1oz of vanilla vodka

1 oz of gingerbread liqueur

 ½ oz of Kahlua

1 oz of half cream

Ground cinnamon

White sugar

Preparation 

1 Mix wet ingredients in cocktail shaker.

2 Serve into a martini glass, rimmed with sugar.

3 Sprinkle cinnamon and serve
