BrewDog has announced its second annual nationwide craft beer festival, and will be unveiling 16 unique collaboration brews made with the UK's best breweries.

Following its successful launch in 2013, this year's CollabFest held Saturday October 25 will showcase the most exciting and innovative breweries in the UK, including Scottish breweries Cromarty Brewing Co, Alechemy, Fyne Ales and Tempest Brewing Co.

To instigate the project, teams from each of BrewDog's 16 participating bars were tasked with joining forces with a local craft brewery to create a limited edition collaboration beer.

BrewDog bar staff worked directly with their partner brewery on every aspect of the process from selecting ingredients, to bottling and naming the signature brew.

All 16 limited edition beers will be tapped simultaneously during the festival and served in UK BrewDog bars while stocks last.

At 6pm, each bar will also be hosting a 'Meet the Brewer' event with its CollabFest partner brewery.

BrewDog Aberdeen and Cromarty have produced the Stoater Scotch Ale - a 7.5% ale with oats, brambles and honey.

BrewDog Dundee and Alechemy will release Smoked in History, a 5.2% smoked Porter with a secret ingredient.

False Provenance is the brew from BrewDogEdinburgh and Tempest Brewing Co. - a 6.8% Borders Belgian black ale.

BrewDog Glasgow and Fyne Ales' beer is still under wraps.

On Saturday October 25, all 16 beers will be available in all UK BrewDog bars. BrewDog bars with fewer than 16 taps will operate a rotation system, and from around 4pm each bar's team wil be on hand to help out and answer questions.
