Autumn is here, and it's apple season!

This week, Yelpers have sniffed out the tastiest spots across Glasgow and Edinburgh to get your crunch on with delicious, seasonal apple dishes.

Patisserie Valerie

Glasgow Central Station, Glasgow

Michelle M "took some pastries away (almond croissant and apple pastry) to have the next day for breakfast and even though they were slightly squashed in my handbag, they were very good. The apple pastry in particular!"

Oink

34 Victoria Street, Edinburgh

Tom S says it's "perfect for a quick on the move lunch. The hog was very tasty, a generous serving in a white role with haggis and apple sauce, which were very nice with a Scottish touch."

Kimble's

St Enoch Centre, Glasgow

Laura P tried "the caramel apple pie" which she said "was very sweet but delicious, as was the tablet ice cream."

Kyloe Restaurant

1-3 Rutland Street, Edinburgh

Rayan D had "red wine and an apple crumble with custard and ice cream and white chocolate flakes. The whole experience was so good that I was about ready to fall into a post dinner snooze there and then."

Eat Deli

16 Busby Road, Clarkston

Gavin M gives the apple and cinnamon cake here "top marks." He also gives mention to "the bruschetta, piled with a mountain of artichokes, sunblushed tomatoes, and mozzarella, and the Italian sausage rolls."

Patisserie Madeleine

27b Raeburn Place, Edinburgh

The apple crumble tart is "Madeleine's most popular cake," tips Jonny M. "It's easy to see why - big chunks of juicy apple and lovely gooey caramel compliment the crunchy crumble clusters and malted biscuit base. It is simply divine."

Cushion & Cake

35 Old Dumbarton Road, Glasgow

Alison M opted for "apple spiced fruit tea and a slice of apple and cinnamon cake - I have to say both the tea and the cake put a big smile on my face and made me feel all warm and fuzzy."

Angels with Bagpipes

343 High Street, Edinburgh

"I went for the Orkney scallops with lentils, apple, caramel and crackling - the scallops were tender and fresh, and the lentils added a wonderful texture perfectly balancing the sweetness of the apple and caramel. The crackling added a lovely 'bite' and it was beautifully presented," says Gina B.

West

Templeton Building, Glasgow Green

Joe H tried the potato pancakes as a starter. "The pancakes were more like thicker potato scones, but the combination of the mustard seeds in the dressing and apple sauce was great." The apple strudel is a popular dessert.

Bodega

62 Elm Row, Edinburgh

Claire L had "pre-ordered an apple burrito. Sticky caramelised apple in a folded burrito with ice cream and cream. It was amazing! It was one of the best desserts I have had in ages - probably a gluten free thing mind, but it was like having a normally off limits apple strudel."
