Those searching Waterloo Street in Glasgow's city centre for music bar Pivo Pivo will be disappointed - the venue has been shut. But raise a glass (and a forkful of food) to the newbie that takes its place - Kitty O'Shea's.

Transcending expectations of yet another generic Irish bar, Kitty O'Shea's offers a rotating selection of Irish guest ales, pretty snazzy decor (all industrial wood and metal) and, importantly, a selection of hangover-busting menu options.

Choose between gourmet loaded hot dogs that eschew the rubbery frankfurter for something more upmarket, beef and chicken burgers, and possibly the best waffles and ice-cream (served in steal-worthy mini frying pans) this side of the Irish sea. Don't forget the venue's own super-duper hot chilli sauce, either.
