Star rating: * Dir: Nicholas Stoller With: Jason Segel, Kristen Bell, Russell Brand The Judd Apatow film factory continues to churn out slacker/ nerd comedies whose quality runs in inverse proportion to their frequency. Knocked Up was hilarious, Superbad intermittently funny and Drillbit Taylor less so. Forgetting Sarah Marshall, produced by Apatow and written by its star Jason Segel, represents a new low for the man who hit the big time with The 40 Year Old Virgin. The utterly unoriginal plot concerns a wet blanket who's dumped by his famous actress girlfriend and, distraught, takes a holiday in Hawaii, only to find she's there with her new rock-star squeeze. Endless dumb sexist jokes follow in a film so lame only an incredulous-looking Russell Brand stands out.
