Award-winning Hopetoun Farm Shop is extending its product range with the launch of its new pie collection inspired by TV celebrity chef Paul Hollywood.

A recent location for the Pies and Puds series, Hopetoun Farm Shop, in Broxburn, was overwhelmed by demand for the tasty treats following the success of the BBC series.

Now, following extensive tasting sessions, head butcher Derek Mackintosh unveiled a range of pastry savouries - Steak Pies, Beef Scotch Pies, Mince Rounds and Steak Bridies - all brimming with the finest Hopetoun estate-reared Aberdeen Angus beef.

Timed to coincide with British Pie Week which aims to raise the profile of the simple pie, the Hopetoun pie range will also contain handcrafted sausage rolls.

Commenting on his creations, butcher Derek Mackintosh said: "The Hopetoun pie range complements our extensive butchery selection which has built up a loyal customer base, both locally and further-a-field through online sales.  Everyone has their favourite type of pie so we involved our customers right from the start when it came to selecting our final range - Paul Hollywood eat your heart out!"

Adding his support is Hopetoun Estate Farm Manager, Mike Eagers, who said:  "Our beef is the finest quality so whatever the occasion - a simple supper or a family gathering - the pies are sure to impress.  Keeping up with demand could be a problem judging by how quickly the samples are disappearing from the plate!"

Hopetoun Farm Shop is also delighted to hear this week that it has been  Commended in the Scotland Region for Farm Shop & Deli Awards. (FARMA, National Farmers' Retail & Market Association). The awards ceremony is on Tuesday 25 February.

Available in-store at Hopetoun Farm Shop from 1st March, the pies range from £1.19 to £11.99.
